How to save a TikTok video on iPhone
Why iOS handles downloads differently
iOS does not have a general Downloads folder the way Android does. Safari puts saved files into the Files app — usually iCloud Drive > Downloads — and videos only reach your camera roll when you explicitly send them to Photos. That is why the last step above offers two destinations.
The upside of Apple's approach is that nothing needs access to your library. Safari itself saves the file, so no other app sits in the middle with permission to read your photos.
You do not need a Shortcut or an App Store app
Plenty of guides walk you through installing an untrusted iOS Shortcut to save TikToks. Those shortcuts often send your links through services you cannot see, and they break every time something changes on the other end.
Safari alone is enough. The steps above work on every iPhone and iPad running a current version of iOS or iPadOS, and they keep working because they rely on nothing but the browser.
